Woodbridge Furnishing have the two largest furnishing showrooms in County Durham.

The luxurious Bishop Auckland Showroom opened in 1998 and was a new venture for Clive and Christine Thirkell.

"The Second Showroom" - The Woodbridge Furniture Warehouse which sits on the outskirts of Shildon on the Darlington Road, opened shortly after.

Clive has been in the Furnishing Industry for 40 years, having started at Waring and Gillow, Oxford Street - London and then 20 years with The Wades Group - Sheffield where he managed 20 stores from Glasgow to Nottingham.

The Bishop Auckland Showroom has been extended twice since we opened and it is now recognised as one of the largest in the area with 30,000 sq feet. The size of floor space enables customers to choose from a vast choice of ranges, from a fantastic selection of Leather Suites in the Leather Showroom (opened in 2003), to the new Dining Room and Bedroom Showroom opened in 2004. The upstairs Bedding Showroom gives customers the perfect opportunity to select a bed of their choice.

Customers are able to park free of charge in the large Car Park and relax and enjoy free beverage in our showroom.

The company now has a database of over 30,000 customers who have received the unique Aftersales service you would expect from a Family run business. Potential customers can view the number of Thank You cards confirming the excellent service they have received, which is also a great credit to all our staff.

All customers are offered 12 months interest free finance providing the goods are paid within 12 months. The company employs two delivery contactors to ensure that customer orders are delivered in time and in perfect condition.
